Starting Wednesday, Alabama residents seeking copies of driver's license records or wanting to get a suspended license reinstated might run into a red light.
The Alabama Department of Public Safety will begin moving most of its offices to a new location.
Computer systems will be moved to the new building starting Wednesday through July 13 and driver's license records and reinstatement of licenses will be unavailable during that time.
DPS is moving its headquarters from two buildings near the capitol into the new Criminal Justice Center in the old Saint Margaret’s Hospital complex.
