OSCAR TWEETS

UNDATED (AP) - The comments online during the Oscar broadcast
were often more entertaining than the show itself. Here are some of
the funniest Oscar tweets. Think of them as notes from the peanut
gallery.

-"Shhhh. I'm live tweeting from directly under Sandra Bullocks
chair." - Rainn Wilson (rainnwilson), actor.

-"Looks like a Young Victoria sweep." - David Wain
(davidwain), comedian.

-"Oscars Fun Fact - Samuel L. Jackson spends 40 percent of his
yearly income on Kangol hats ..." - Eric Stangel (EricStangel),
"Late Show With David Letterman" writer-producer.

-"Oprah's about to tell everyone in the audience there's an
Oscar under their seat." - Foster Kamer (weareyourfek), blogger.

BREAST MILK ASSAULT

OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - The charge: assault on a police officer.
The weapon: breast milk. Toni Tramel now faces the felony charge
after being jailed in Owensboro, Ky. Authorities report she was
originally busted on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.
Deputies accuse Tramel of squirting breast at a female jailer.
According to WYMT-TV, the alleged breast milk assault occurred as
Tramel was changing into an inmate uniform. Her bond has been set
at $10,000.

GRANDMA-ICE CREAM

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) - When Belts' Soft Serve opened for the
year -- 6-year-old Brayden Banks got to place the first order. And
he can thank a very nice grandma for satisfying his sweet tooth.
Michelle Cuestas camped out for nearly two days, so her grandson
could be first in line at the Stevens Point, Wis., ice cream
parlor. She passed the time playing games, reading and drawing.
Cuestas says the wait was worth it. She tells the Stevens Point
Journal she's making priceless memories with her grandson. It cost
her two days vacation.

SCRATCH-OFF THEFT

BARTOW, Fla. (AP) - It's a return to the scene of the crime --
to cash-in a winning lottery ticket. That's according to
authorities in central Florida. The Polk County Sheriff's Office
charges that Alen Nguyen stole $70 worth of scratch-off lottery
tickets from a Circle K store. Deputies say one of those tickets
was a 50-buck winner. The next day, Nguyen is charged with going
back to that same store to claim the money. A clerk asked for his
driver's license and wrote down the information. The employee then
called authorities and Nguyen was busted.

SAINTS FLAG

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Nearly seven-grand is a lot to pay for a
New Orleans Saints flag. But the banner bought by construction
company owner Bryan Bossier isn't any flag. It's the Saints flag
that hung outside Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels' office, as part of a
friendly wager with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. The Saints, of
course, beat the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl last month.
Bossier bought the flag in an online auction. The proceeds will
benefit an inner-city youth sports program in Indianapolis.

DOGGIE HERO

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Prozie the poodle mix is a lifesaver. He is
a finalist in a national contest recognizing canine heroes. Owners
Barbara and Fred Berman of Sanford, N.C. say they named their dog
after Prozac because he makes everybody happy. Prozie's first act
of heroism came when his incessant barking woke up the dogsitters.
The house was destroyed by fire but everyone got out. Another time,
Prozie's barking alerted the family to a 94-year-old aunt who was
having breathing problems. The elderly woman was awakened and given her medication. The News & Observer of Raleigh reports the Dogs of Valor award is presented by the U.S. Humane Society.
