No response from the Utah family of a kidnapped U.S. Marine, following word Tuesday from his brother in Lebanon that he's been freed.
Sami Hassoun told The Associated Press earlier today a sign had been received that his brother, Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun, had been freed by his captors in Iraq.
The Hassoun family has remained secluded at their suburban Salt Lake City home Tuesday.
Today's news follows a weekend of confusion. Initially, there were claims that Hassoun's captors had beheaded him. But a report Monday denied that Hassoun had been slain, and said he had instead been moved to another location.
