The mayor of Enterprise has announced a plan to build a $2.5 million multi-purpose complex. The facility would include a new senior center for the city.
Mayor Kenneth Boswell pitched his idea to Coffee County commissioners.
The proposed facility would be constructed on eight acres, just outside the Johnny Henderson Park on Highway 167 North.
The mayor is looking for the county to put in one million dollars for the project. The city would spend $1.25 million.
Commissioners agreed to look at the million-dollar request during its budget workshop sessions later this summer.
