Security experts are warning that a mysterious Internet virus might be aimed at stealing credit card and other valuable financial information.
The virus is being spread by hundreds, and possibly thousands, of infected Web sites.
The infection appears to take advantage of three separate flaws in Microsoft products. Microsoft says it patched two of those flaws in April, but the company has not had time to fix the third problem.
Work is under way to isolate how the infection spreads, though it appears to target at least one recent version of Microsoft software, Internet Information Server.
