A Georgia man is dead after being hit by a car that sped away in Panama City Beach.
Officials say Horace Johnson of Albany, Georgia, died late Sunday morning, about six hours after being hit. Authorities are trying to find a dark-colored car with some suspicious damage.
Investigators say Johnson and a friend had gotten up early Sunday morning, intending to go deep-sea fishing later in the day. They say Johnson was hit while walking a few feet behind his buddy, who sustained minor injuries.
