The New Brockton High School Library not only serves approximately 400 students, but it is the only library in New Brockton. And now, renovations are underway on the library that was built in 1939.
Coffee County School District officials have earmarked funds for a portion of the work. In addition, students have held a number of fundraisers.
The library holds 4400 books, with the average age of the books being 30 years old. School Media Specialist Lori Cotney says it's time to update the volumes.
School officials are still looking for additional financial help to complete the library and if you'd like to help, contact them at 334-894-2350.
