Residents in a Northwest Florida town fear a proposed road expansion will not be good for their city.
The Florida Department of Transportation is gathering input on the best possible way to expand Highway 77 through Wausau. Although the money is "not" in place at this time to expand the North-South roadway from the Alabama line to the beaches, preparation must be made.
Recently, Huntsville native Wayne Terrell bought JT's Wausau café. The business is located along Highway 77, and he says he's concerned of a possible bypass being built around the town.
Florida Department of Transportation officials will hold a second public hearing today on the four-laning of Highway 77 at Chipley High School beginning at 5:30 p.m.
