PHENIX CITY, Ala. (AP) - Russell County authorities say two people, including the victim's mother, are in jail Monday each charged in connection with Thursday's murder of a 20-year-old woman.
Authorities said the woman was slain in an apparent murder-for-hire scheme.
Sheriff's investigators said the body of Stephanie Shea Graham of Phenix City was found just off Alabama 165 in the Cottonton area around midnight Thursday.
A sheriff's official said Kenneth Walton was arrested Saturday and Lisa Graham - are each charged with capital murder for hire.
Investigators allege that Lisa Graham hired Walton, who works for her husband.
The body was spotted by a Eufaula truck driver who notified authorities.
Authorities said Stephanie Graham was shot six times.
