UNDATED, Ala. (AP) - Alabama state troopers say at least five people died in weekend traffic accidents across the state, including a father and son from Georgia who died in a head-on crash Sunday morning in Baldwin County.
Baldwin County coroner Stan Vinson said the 44-year-old man and his 13-year-old son died when their sport utility vehicle crashed into a van at the intersection of Alabama 59 and Baldwin County 48. The wreck happened shortly after 9 a-m.
Vinson declined to release the victims' names. He said three others in the SUV, including the driver of the van were injured.
Troopers also report two traffic fatalities in Cullman County and another in Calhoun County. No information was immediately available about the accidents.
