One Wiregrass school district has agreed to spend $75,000 to buy an old textile factory and Enterprise City Superintendent Dr. Jim Reese, says it's an excellent deal.
Officials say the old Arrow T-shirt factory located behind Hillcrest Elementary School will probably be torn down. It’s a centrally located property that can be used for possible expansion.
They plan to use the building for an early childhood/special projects center. It’s an estimated $2 million project that will house kindergarten students and pre-schoolers.
Dr. Reese says he'll make a recommendation to the school board on what should become of the old factory.
