Candidates running for city commissioner showed up at Landmark Park Sunday to meet the people they would be representing, if elected.
The meet and greet lasted three hours.
During that time, candidates spoke with members of the community and answered questions as well as defended their platforms.
The meeting is part of the Dothan Democratic conference but was a non-partisan meeting to let people have the change to get to know the candidates.
Earl Jones with the Houston Co. Democratic Conference said, "That's the reason we exist to stimulate political involvement get the vote out and ensure our constituents hear what the candidates are talking about."
Each candidate also participated in a question and answer session after they made their speeches.
