Charges Dropped Against Man Accused of Helping Rapist

SHALIMAR, Fla. (AP) - Florida prosecutors have dropped charges against a Fort Walton Beach man accused of helping an Air Force officer rape another man.

The Northwest Florida Daily News reports that charges against Radoslaw Czaban for being a principal to sexual battery and false imprisonment have been dropped.

Military prosecutors in the February court martial of Captain Devery Taylor mentioned Czaban as a possible accomplice to one of the rapes.

Taylor was convicted of raping four men and attempting to rape two others and sentenced to 50 years in prison. Four of his victims were in the military and two were civilians.

Czaban was accused of helping Taylor commit one of the rapes before the charges were dropped for a lack of evidence.

Czaban said the high-profile court-martial made his life difficult, saying "where do I go to get my name back?"
