Panama City Beach

In a few years, Panama City Beach will look totally different.

Developers are buying many old hotels, tearing them down and building large condos in their place.

The Strip in Panama City is cluttered with working cranes and bulldozers. And some of the old hotels are vacant with "closed" signs on their gates.

Miracle Strip Amusement Park will also be closing their gates and their employees are sad about saying goodbye. The rides at Miracle Strip will be turned off for the last time on Sept. 5, Labor Day weekend.

Shipwreck Island Water Park will remain open. Half of the workers from Miracle Strip will go over there and the others will be out of a job.
