The city of Dothan may soon accept a grant for the fire department, which would allow the regional response team to complete their training.
The issue was brought up in Tuesday's city commission meeting and will appear on next week's agenda.
The grant would provide about $40,000 to the fire department, and would go toward the heavy rescue and haz-mat teams.
This will allow them to have all their training completed by December 31st.
