Baker Appeal

Bobby Baker was 20 years old when he was arrested for a 1994 shooting spree that left two people wounded and his wife dead.

He allegedly kidnapped his wife, Tracy Baker, at gunpoint and shot her to death with an assault rifle.

Bobby Baker was found guilty of capital murder and sentenced to die.

But the Alabama Supreme Court says the jury that convicted him should not have been allowed to hear evidence of previous domestic violence cases involving Baker and his wife.

District Attorney Doug Valeska says he'll try to convict Baker again and send him back to death row. A date for Baker's new trial has not been set.
