Funeral arrangements set for Enterprise Soldier

Funeral arrangements have been finalized for an Enterprise soldier killed in action.

Sergeant William Edward Brown died on June 23rd in Taji, Iraq from indirect fire.

He was a blackhawk crew chief with the 2nd battalion, 227th aviation regiment out of Ft. Carson, Colorodo.

Army officials say William pushed another soldier out of the way when the mortar hit and brown took the fatal blow.

Funeral services will be held at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home chapel in Enterprise.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 until 8 pm. The funeral is Sunday at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan.
