Reagan Library Service

Ater a brief service led by the family's pastor, Nancy Reagan rested her cheek on her husband's casket for a moment.

During the service, the former first lady held hands with daughter Patti Davis. Later, the two women hugged for awhile, the daughter stroking her mother's back.

The Reverend Michael Wenning (venning) said he couldn't help but think of the "love and outpouring that has begun in the nation for a great president."

People were in the streets as the hearse made its way from a funeral home in Santa Monica, California, to the library in Simi Valley.

A military band saluted the arriving entourage with "Hail to The Chief" and "My Country 'Tis of Thee." Then the coffin was placed inside the library with eight armed forces members standing guard.
