The City of Brundidge appears to be coming to the end of disagreement over its landfill.
The city collects a host fee for waste dumped in the landfill, and when the tonnage dropped from 621-tons a day to 85 tons a day.
Brundidge filed a lawsuit against allied waste claiming breach of contract.
Brundidge Mayor Jimmy Ramage said, “The stream of garbage and the trucking company they were using it was probably to their advantage to take the waste that way, but it hurt our financial situation so we wanted to resolve the issue.”
The amount of the settlement will be available, once all legal matters are complete.
