The city of Enterprise renewed its contract with a Birmingham tax collection agency.
In the last two years, Enterprise City Clerk, Steve Hicks, says Alatax Corporation has collected more than $68,000 in business license fees.
Hicks says the company has the expertise to track fees owed to the town through several comparisons.
He believes it's a win-win for both that company and Enterprise.
"They conduct an audit service of the sales taxes and local accounts. They can collect, we don't have a collection arm to our department and that helps with garnering our sales tax base," said Hicks.
Alatax Corporation has also been contracted to find back revenue for a few other area cities.
