Funeral arrangements have been finalized for a Dothan businessman killed in a plane crash on the Florida coast.
The pilot, Dan Smith, was the only person on board the plane as it went down in the Highland View Canal near Port St. Joe around 9 o'clock Thursday morning.
Witnesses told authorities the pilot was flying low when the two-seater seaplane clipped a power line and crashed into the water.
The crash is under investigation.
Smith was the long-time owner of Dothan Motor Company.
His funeral will be held 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan. Visitation is from 6 until 8 pm Monday.
Smith was 62 years old.
