Monday morning Foster Street looked quiet and deserted but just 2 nights ago a holiday shooting inside Club Rio left the street in shambles.

Around midnight on Christmas Houston county deputies were watching for vandals in parking lots which is why they were quick to respond.

The Houston County Sheriff's office and the Dothan Police are looking for those responsible.

"During the weekend, Dothan worked on any leads they got as well as we did. We are working together on it. We picked up a couple of individuals for questioning but no charges brought to anyone at this point" said Captain Antonio Gonzales Houston Co. Sheriff's Office.

This is not the first time something like this happened at the club several outdoor shootings have occurred in the past.

The business has been through numerous managers and serves as a teen club during the week.

"It is the atmosphere to the establishment which may have a leading cause to the problems. You have alcohol, you have temperament, and you have the holidays which bring a lot of stress especially with depression issues" said Captain Gonzales.

Authorities continue to investigate.

The shootings may have been a random act of violence or the three victims may have been targeted.

Either way, metal detectors are supposed to deter patrons from bringing in guns.

"At times someone may be able to get that back door open to let someone in. Depending on the crowd, the metal detector can be bypassed, but from what the owners of the establishment say everyone who comes in the front door is checked through that metal detector" said Captain Gonzales.

The owners of the club were unavailable for comment.

Other nearby business owners declined an opportunity for an interview, but say they are sorry these incidents keep happening.

Those three victims from the shooting have been released from the hospitals.

Witnesses indicate the shooter was a light-skinned black male wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
