Wiregrass authorities are crediting an alert citizen with helping break-up an on-going home burglary ring.
Coffee County Sheriff Dave Sutton says his department received a call of a small white car driving around the Ino and Damascus communities, about ten-miles south of Elba.
The car matched the description of a vehicle seen at several residential break-ins over the last three-weeks.
After a traffic pull-over, deputies reportedly found drugs and items taken in the break-ins.
"In one house the tore-up pretty good, in another they knocked open a window. One they walked right in and the trashed it and so forth," said Chief Deputy Ronnie Whitworth.
Three 18-year-old men all from Enterprise were charged with possession of marijuana and four-counts of burglary.
The stolen merchandise has been returned to the homeowners.
