Geneva Break Ins

At around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Scott Owen awoke to a loud sound in his 15-year-old daughter's bedroom. Within an instant, a masked man ran through the back door of the High Avenue home. The suspect had been standing over the beds of his daughter and her friend, a second female teen-ager.

Only last month, police investigated a similar incident of a masked man entering the bedroom of a teen-age girl in the middle of the night. It happened just a few blocks away. Her screams apparently scared the suspect into fleeing.

Police are also looking into a report of a man looking through the windows of young girls in the area. Authorities said make sure windows and doors are locked.

Police said the suspect appears to be between 5'10" and 6' tall. Anyone with information is asked to call Geneva police at 684-2777.
