Eye Center South in Dothan is teaming up with a national program to give the gift of sight this holiday season.

Eyecare America Seniors Eyecare program is a national non-profit organization.

All U.S. citizens or legal residents, age 65 and older, who have not seen an ophthalmologist in three or more years, may be eligible for the for a "no cost" eye exam and treatment.

“These are tough times and have been tough for the last year or two and they're not getting any better and they least we can do, those of us that are fortunate enough to be healthy and capable, is to provide something back for those who are not as lucky as we are,” said Dr. Marnix Heersink with Eye Center South.
