Authorities have destroyed a marijuana field in Northwest Florida, thanks to the assistance of the Jackson County sheriff's helicopter.
Holmes County authorities uprooted more than 200-marijuana plants found this week. The majority was discovered growing on company-owned timberland.
No arrests were made.
Sheriff Dennis Lee says this marijuana was found near Lake Cassidy along the Holmes and Walton County line.
Recent rainfall has helped this season's marijuana crop to mature earlier. Authorities say it’s usually seen growing in July and August.
