Tuesday night Washington County investigators raided a meth lab at an abandoned home in the rural Orange Hill community.
Authorities say this was no ordinary raid. They say 24-year-old Jerome Kirkland installed a stolen power meter to supply electricity to the lab.
Besides manufacture and possession of methamphetamine, Kirkland also faces a charge of theft of a utility.
A state haz-mat team was called in to clean up the toxic chemicals from the home.
