HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A woman critically burned by an outdoor grill at a residence in southwest Huntsville died overnight in a Birmingham hospital.
Investigators with Huntsville Fire and Rescue said 42-year-old Lisa Gail Cooper suffered serious burns over 90 percent of her body and was transferred to the UAB Burn Center.
Cooper was burned early Tuesday at about 1 a-m. According to investigators - the fire started on a front porch and was caused by the careless handling of a flammable liquid near a barbecue grill.
A 16-year-old girl was also hurt and was treated for burns to her lower legs, then released.
