Coffee County Commission

AA debate on a senior center raised tempers at the Coffee County Commission meeting.

Harry Hayes is a subcontractor on the nearly completed Mt. Pleasant Senior Center, just outside Enterprise. In recent months, several commissioners have questioned the work there.

Hayes says there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. He says there needs to be a streamline delegation of authority because different officials were telling him to do different things.

Both senior centers was built with a $200,000 government grant, each facility will soon be open to those communities’ elderly.
