Local emergency officials are gathering at the Houston County Farm Center this week for a Weapons of Mass Destruction drill.
When the March first tornado hit Enterprise, agencies around the southeast responded to ground zero.
Minutes after the storm, emergency workers had to identify threats, needs and respond quickly.
This week Wiregrass officials are practicing how to identify threats.
WMD Instructor Monroe Manley said, “We can only protect our homeland if our hometowns are secure and that's what we're doing making sure we can identify threats, needs and our ability to respond.”
Weapons of Mass Destruction is only a part of the drill, but officials say every community needs to be prepared.
