Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard says telemarketers are using a new wrinkle to get around the national Do Not Call Registry.
He's warning consumers about a scheme that uses a sweepstakes entry form that could open consumers to dishonest prize promotion tactics and the risk of having personal information sold to other marketers.
Goddard says the scheme is in the fine print. Some sweepstakes rules now state that by completing the sign-up, you allow sponsors and co-sponsors to call -- even if you're on the Do Not Call Registry.
