A Dothan man escaped serious injury when a train struck his car Thursday morning around 11:30 a.m. at the railroad crossing on Hatton road. The driver apparently never heard the train coming.
Police say the man told them he had removed his hearing aid while cutting grass and had forgotten to put it back in before he left home.
The car was heavily damaged by the impact.
The victim was treated at a Dothan hospital and released.
