Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly accident that occurred in Northwest Florida. The wreck happened Thursday right before the Sneads exit on Interstate-10 in Jackson County.
Eyewitnesses say the driver of the SUV, with a trailer attached, was speeding. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and overturned several times before rolling off the highway.
Five of the six- people in the SUV were thrown out on to the pavement, including a baby.
Two Sacred Heart Air Ambulances helped transport the most critically injured to the hospital. Authorities report that the driver, 18-year-old Ariel Strickland of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was pinned under the SUV and she died at the scene.
