If you are looking for a job this summer, the city of Dothan may have a job for you. Every year, the city hires on seasonal workers to fill positions like life guards, pool attendants, and ticket clerks.
"We are looking for people who are hard working, honest, trustworthy and do a good job," says Robin Patrick, City of Dothan Aquatics director.
If you fit this description, the city of Dothan might have a summer job opening for you. Right now, the city is working to complete the hiring process for a variety of jobs.
"We have jobs from lifeguards to day camp aides and everything in between; cashier and rec aides," Patrick says.
Water World employees are the majority of seasonal workers. Many workers are high school and college students who are looking to add to their resumes.
"Out here, [we] do a lot; you get your hands dirty and it shows you're responsible and it’s fun and rewarding," says Lauren Martin, who is six-year city employee.
The city is also looking to hire several experienced workers to fill management type positions during the summer months.
