Samson Water

One Geneva County town may lose $1 million grant, if people don't start signing up for central water service.

The grant requires about 250 residents outside the Samson limits to apply for central water. But so far, only 70 people have signed-up for the service.

The system would ensure safe drinking water for those currently on private wells. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Grant would fund construction of water lines and another tower.

The sign-up fee is $69. Forms are available at the Samson City Hall.
