The Alabama Department of Transportation will soon make a decision on which Western route will be considered for the Interstate-10 Connector.
Several Wiregrass mayors met with the DOT Wednesday. There is not a decision on the exact route for the I-10 Connector.
There are three Western routes up for consideration, and the DOT is currently deciding which one is the best.
Sowell said the DOT should call him next week with a date on the decision.
