If you live in Dothan and you aren't taking care of your property, you could find yourself in court. That’s because the city is cracking down on overgrown lots, illegal junkyards, and dilapidated buildings.
Several city commissioners say they're fed up with the problem.
Interim City Manager Jerry Corbin told city leaders he's met with Police Chief John White, the city attorney and other staff to find solutions to this problem.
Corbin says the city's current codes are tough enough; they just need “better enforcement”.
He says court summons have already started going out.
