A Houston County Circuit Judge has refused to reduce bond for a Dothan church leader accused of molesting children.
53 year old Earl Holland is charged with 8 counts of first degree sexual abuse of 8 year old girls.
He's being held under a 2 million dollar bond.
Holland's attorney asked Judge Larry Anderson to reduce that amount so Holland can get out of jail.
But in a ruling issued Friday, the judge refused and said Holland had failed to present a plan to protect children if he were freed.
Judge Anderson also noted that the court has a duty to protect both the victims and the general public.
Holland is still being held in the Houston County Jail.
