Echo tornado victims will soon get a little more relief.
The Echo Volunteer Fire Department is expecting to distribute what was given to the Echo Disaster Relief Fund.
The department is now taking applications for the relief money.
The board of directors for the fire department will approve the applications after May 21st.
Assistant Fire Chief Eric Blankenship said, “Most of the families here have insurance or FEMA kicked in. But they still have gaps that haven't been filled or people that they still have to pay. So, we're just wanting to get this money out to the to help fill in the void.”
In order to qualify for the assistance, you must have had damages from the March 1st tornado and you must be an Echo resident.
No businesses or unoccupied dwellings are eligible.
