Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward gave county commissioners a tour of the jail on Wednesday.
In February, the commission voted to spend $50,000 to put in a new air control system.
That’s because several inmates and jail employees reported being sick due to a lack of air circulation in the jail. In addition, the facility has been re-painted.
In coming days, sheriff's deputies will bring back the Geneva County inmates who have been held in both Coffee and Conecuh Counties.
