A jury has found two Florida state prisoners guilty in an attack on several correctional officers. Last May, 25-year-old Darrell Jenkins and 31-year-old Tracy Wright reportedly attacked the correctional officers during a prison riot at the Washington Correctional Institution.
Five officers received serious injuries.
Inmate Donald Lee Hush, testified for the prosecution, he described how the defendants used iron horseshoes and aluminum baseball bats in the assault.
Wright was convicted of attempted murder. Both Wright and Jenkins were also convicted of aggravated battery upon a law enforcement officer.
