WTVY-Nearly a dozen Wiregrass law enforcement agencies have been involved in a high speed pursuit Sunday night.
It all began around 7-o'clock when a man refused to pull his car over.
The driver was in a blue dodge pick-up truck and drove from a driver's license checkpoint on Highway 84-in Level Plains.
Then officers pursued the vehicle through portions of Dale, Geneva and Coffee counties with speeds at more than 100 miles-per-hour at times.
After nearly an hour, the suspect turned off Highway-167 and into a peanut field on Coffee County Road-719, just south of Enterprise.
That's where he wrecked into a drainage ditch.
But the suspect managed to get out of the vehicle and take off on foot.
Authorities are continuing their search for him at this time. Anyone with information should call local authorities.
