Officials in a Northwest Florida town are hoping water and sewer impact fees will bring in some much-needed revenue.
Paxton sits along the Florida Alabama stateline.
It was the only municipality in Walton County without such a fee.
But it’s now in effect for all future commercial and residential development.
The cost will range from 400-to-600 dollars.
During a recent council meeting, it was stated the town needs the additional funds in order to upgrade and maintain the water and sewer systems.
