The wives of some of the state's most powerful lawmakers toured the Enterprise neighborhoods worst hit by the March 1st tornado Wednesday.
The women are part of the Lawmaker's Spouse Club.
More than two dozen were involved in a fundraiser for the high school.
They presented Enterprise City School Superintendent, Dr. Jim Reese, with a 2,000 dollar check.
Many of their husbands were involved in getting a 32-million dollar appropriation set aside for a new high school and Hillcrest Elementary.
Rep. Terry Spicer's wife Ceina Spicer said, "That these women's husbands were 100-percent behind the move for monies to Enterprise following the tornado, and approved the 32-million dollar appropriation."
Enterprise School Board members and city officials also accompanied the women as they saw first-hand devastation from the deadly storm.
