Selma Man Arrested in Weekend Shooting, Charged with Murder

SELMA, Ala. (AP) - A Selma man was arrested over the weekend in connection with a Friday shooting that left one man dead.

27-year-old Zachariah Wilson was arrested early Saturday morning
on capitol murder charges in the death of 32-yaer-old Jerry Lee Moore of Marion.

Moore's body was discovered in the driver's seat of his vehicle.

Police say he was shot inside the car and died while trying to leave the scene.

Officials say Moore died from a single gunshot wound to the chest and the incident was most likely drug related.

It is the first murder in Selma this year.
