A local senior living facility is teaching you what it's like to live as a senior citizen struggling with dementia and other diseases.
Workers at The Terrace at Grove Park have teamed up with SARCOA to offer a free "Virtual Dementia Tour."
The tour is a hands-on experience that mimics what research shows us and what observation over the years has shown us to be normal for a person with dementia, arthritis and macular degeneration.
“It's strange at first, but it gives you the ideas and the feelings they go through, and frustration,” said Melinda Glover, SARCOA Care Coordinator.
