The consensus among all holiday shoppers is the older we get the faster the holidays seem to creep up on us.
A lot of articles out there are saying sales among department stores aren't going to be as high as previous years and many people are opting to make their own gifts.
However, the same may not apply to residents here in the Wiregrass.
In fact, businesses like Best Buy are actually doing better than last year.
And, employees say shoppers are going for big ticket items.
"Even though we have lost some competition this year, we have started to notice that there are a lot of businesses that are, or our business as well that are getting started early on their Christmas shopping this year. So there are a lot of customers that are coming in the store, and they're picking up their gifts early this year," says Brian Bradshaw with Best Buy.
Even though many shoppers say they are set more on a budget, they don't intend on not shopping at all.
Many stores are offering deals even before Black Friday as incentives to get more people in.
