The 52-year-old poultry contractor is accused of assaulting a 16-year-old girl. Reportedly, the incident happened on Monday night. Reid was arrested the next day.
Samson Police Chief Gerome Cobb says the suspect picked-up the teen-ager under the pretense of getting her to work at an area chicken plant. Instead, he allegedly took her to this trailer where the rape took place.
Chief Cobb says statements have been taken from both Reid and the girl. Also, DNA samples were taken from the girl at a hospital after the alleged incident.
Reid has been released from jail under a $36,000 bond. The case is headed to a Geneva County Grand Jury.
