Dothan city school board members presented the city's commissioners with several options on how to improve education.
Those options include building a new high school or renovating both of the city's high schools and implement theme based academic cirriculums in each.
And school board members are leaning toward a fresh start.
Superintendent Dr. Sam Nichols said, "We're going to ask for a new high school... a comprehensive high school that will meet the needs of all our students in Dothan grades 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. And then convert Northview into either a 9th and 10th grade center or a 9th grade center."
No official decision has been made yet.
Each option will be represented to the school board next week, and Superintendent Nichols will make a recommendation in two weeks.
