Walton County Marijuana Eradication

Every year, the Walton County Sheriff's office participates in a U.S Government Drug Enforcement program.

Deputies say their focus is to make Walton County a safe and drug-free community.

The Walton County Sheriff's office ranked number one in the state for marijuana eradication results during 2006.

There was a total of 2,417 marijuana plants discovered, 24 cultivation sites destroyed, 11 arrests, and 9 firearms seized.
